    Brody after elbow surgery

I keep coming back to this site because everyone is extremely helpful so thank you very much to everyone who has given me advice.

Its been 6 weeks since Brody's bilateral arthoscopy surgery and I am yet to see ANY improvements. We are both extremely frustrated. Brody hasn't been out of the house in over 3 months he just wants to do some exercise I really feel like this is nothing less then torture for a puppy. My vet said no exercise and crate rest for another 2 weeks. I'm so fed up with hearing this everytime I speak to her. He was only meant to be crate rested for 4 weeks and then 6 weeks and now another 2 weeks!!! Anyway what I wanted to ask was -
how long after surgery was your dog limping? Should I be worried he's still limping?
should I wait abit longer before doing another arthoscopy to see what's going on in there? Maybe 3-4 months. I'm thinking of taking him on 5 minute walks 3 times a week. I haven't received any rehab plan from my vet I'll ask her for one on Friday when I see her.
I honestly think he's still limping because he has had no exercise his muscles and bones are so weak. He follows me around the house but I would hardly consider that exercise. Oh and of course the vets are complaining he's put on weight - hello, all he does is sleep and eat!!!

also any boredom killer games for a puppy that can't do much would be great!!! Ive been giving him raw bones and kong. Can't think if much else.

Thanks again and apologies if I sound rude I'm just frustrated at the whole situation I just want my pup to live his life not being couped up in a house!

No experience with the surgery, but maybe physical therapy would be a good idea. Have you talked to your vet about it?

sorry to hear. this is an example of what I did with chili after his surgery. well I paid a pro to do it...the therapist showed me how to do all the exercises by doing them herself 1st, then watching me do them, and then telling me to do them with chili at home. the only ones i really did were the massage/stretching and letting him walk on a mattress...but chili never really limped after
\ his surgery so most likely different circumstances.
