Presto has something like this right now, too. I am using an eye gel which I started last night.

That's great! Does the new medicine have a steroid in it? Lido had a cyst that formed quickly in his lower lid from an infection, and an antibiotic/steroid gel made it look better within a day. However, he had to stay on it until the cyst was completely gone - 2-3 weeks, as I recall.

Yes, the new drop contains both an antibiotic and steroid....the difference is amazing. he will finish the course of the drops (one week), despite it looking so good already

What are you using? Presto's eye hasn't seen much, if any, improvement. I called the vet and she is going to add Rimadyl, which I think is odd. Thanks!

Cooper is on Tobradex... my Vet said because of the steroid in it Cooper needed a eye exam with a stain to ensure he didn’t have any damage to his actual eye (which apparently if he did the Steroid would slow down the healing of)
Hope Presto is on the mend soon!!

So glad to hear the new med is doing the trick. Eye problems are scary.

    Sending continued healing prayers.
