Bile Puking and a worried momma

The last 4 or 5 days Bacon has been vomiting Bile early in the morning. He has been acting normally, pee and poops are normal. He eats Fromm GF Beef fritatta. I have been doing some research. I know the obvious reason is empty tummy. Last night we fed 1/4 cup of kibble before bed, we still had a bile puke this morning. Maybe we are still not feeding enough?

Other things I am seeing in my research is he may not be tolerating his high protein food. He is about 1/3 through his 3rd bag. Any thoughts?? We are calling the vet this morning.

I would treat for empty tummy syndrome before deciding his food isn't working. 1/4 cup of food isn't very much, try 1/2 cup tonight and see if that helps. How long does he go between his bedtime snack and the puking?

Is it possible he ate something he can not digest and is trying to puke it up? My Abbey would do this although in the middle of the night and about the 5th day the object would come up. One time it was a large piece of one of those hard veggie (carrot) bone (chews). Raw hides can do this too. I haven't fed either in years because of this.

    Hoping its nothing serious.

He got his snack at 9PM, he puked around 6AM.

I watch him like a hawk, he is never unsupervised, so he shouldnt have gotten into anything. He rarely if every gets rawhides.

Talked to the vet. She said to try a larger snack tonight. Since last night was the first night we tried a snack, she said to give it time. Fingers crossed that tomorrow morning, no puke!

Hoping the extra food does him good! Maybe he's burning more calories with the heat (if its hot like it is here right now) so he's just starving by morning. Hope he feels better soon!

What is odd is that this is happening every single morning for 5 days and you are feeding two meals a day, almost 12 hours apart. Happening too often IMO.

I don't know, talk to your vet, see if he has some ideas. I'd probably try with a different food.

Glad you talked to your vet - hope he starts to feel better soon! I know how worrisome it can be.
