Cassie wanted to make sure you got your money's worth out of that visit. So glad the lump sounds like it's a "who cares". Good luck with her recovery.
First I wanted to thank you all for your support. The vet does not believe its cancerous. He thinks this a growth from a reaction she had to her rabbles shot. I can't remember what he called it. He wants me to watch it and measure it once a month and if it grows he would like to remove it. Cassie must have known we were going to the vet because she got a big hot spot this morning and an ear infection. So we got everything looked at in the one visit. She got a steroid shot, ear drops with antibiotics and an oral antibiotic. The vet wants us to go back in tow weeks when the meds are done.

I'm glad it appears to be benign, whatever it is! I agree that Cassie was very considerate to put all her needs together so as to save you more trips. Feel better, Cassie!

So glad the lump is just a reaction to the shot, Gabe had the same thing and it freaked me out for about two weeks until I took him back to have the vet take a look. She just it was "normal" to sometimes have the reaction as the dog gets 'older'. I just HATE lumps of any kind, scares me!!
Hope Cassie heals up OK and you and she have no more worries.

Good news! But the Rabies shot make me nervous...I have heard of other dogs getting reactions to them.

Keep an eye on that lump. Vaccine Associated Sarcoma is more common in cats and small dogs but still, watch the lump and vaccination site even after the lump seems to disappear. Not to worry you, just to caution.

Snowshoe I am going to be very diligent about keeping measurements on the mass. Cassie has so much fur that I took a piece of string and cut it length wise to size and then drew it out. Its about the size of a pecan. Im just glad she is not due for shots for another 2.6 years
So glad it appears to be that! At least she saved everything for one visit!

Nothing like bunching up everything together. Can't remember which one, but one of our labs had a rabies related reaction lump but not as big as you're describing. Did take a while to go down but it never bothered her/him.
Sending mojo for clear ears and healed hot spot.
