    Does Petzlife work?

So I think I'm going to hold off on a dental cleaning for Hershey. You can see pics of her teeth in my other thread. I'm going to see if I can make any progress on my own. She is very cooperative in general, so brushing is no problem. But I'm wondering if the Petzlife products are as good as they claim to be. The reviews I have seen are mostly very positive. Although, I did see a couple that said their dogs vomited after using it, and one even said their dog had seizures, so that's concerning. Does anyone have experience with Petzlife? I think Sundance suggested it in my other thread, so I'm guessing she has had some success with it.

I use Petzlife oral gel, I really like it. Mine are raw fed, but when I used to feed kibble I definitely used it a few times a week. I just put it on a dog tooth brush and brushed it in at the gumline. I still use it a couple times a week, especially b/c Tux doesn't mind it at all so I figure why not. Never had any issues with vomiting or anything.

I started Sunnie and Dan when they both had some tartar....I'd had to stop using an effective toothpaste because it was irritating both of their throats and never found anything that would keep the tartar at bay. It dissolved a good bit of Sunnie's....she had some red on her gums, though, and scheduled a dental (also needs an extraction that the vet should have done during the dental...that's coming up next week). I've had less success with Dan but he's got a narrow mouth and I understand from a vet dentist that narrow-jawed dogs tend to have more dental issues in general.

I'm hoping that the Petzlife will keep off any accumulation starting with clean teeth.

Note: the salmon flavor gel isn't....it's almost pure mint with just a slightly funky smell that doesn't hide the mint. Next container will be the plain mint....even though these two don't like mint. Tough...it doesn't irritate their throats or stomachs so grimaces while I apply it don't faze me.
