    I don't think blood tests alone can diagnose a stroke but they provide other information that might point to a cause.

    What were your pup's symptoms?

    Would you know if your dog had a stroke? | AAHA

    Thanks for posting the link. It looks like a dog would need a CT or MRI, which can be very costly.

    Those things are costly. However, if it was a seizure, it's treatable. How do you know it was a stroke/TIA? Did the symptoms clear? What did your vet say?

    Yes, when Kimber had her spinal incident in 2012, they wanted to do an MRI to find out if it had been a stroke. (In the end, the MRI was unavailable so they did a CT. It was a few thousand dollars.)
