Just an update on the boy. He vomited last on early morning last Monday. I switched his kibble that day. After some research I went with Natural BAlance limited ingredient lamb. I stopped the flagyl as well. I give only one rimadyl a day...am. Feed him just a little at 6pm and then full dinner at 830pm or so. So far so good. No puking. I have hopes we are on the path to full recovery.

So, since Asher is off his omegas and Glycoflex, I thought I'd try sardines packed in water. Gave him two sardines this morning at 0730, 0930 it all came back up. Sardines are definitely off the table. And omg, my house smells horrific!

I'd stay away from anything he hasn't had successfully before....especially if it stinks.

I'm amazed at just how different sardines can be. I can't stomach even the smell of what I give the dogs but love the sardines I buy for myself. (trial and error....the dogs got so many different brands for a while there) The water the dogs' sardines come in smells like raw fish....and not in a sushi-kind of way. Ugh.

Just a thought. What kind of fish oil/omegas were you giving him? He may be sensitive to one certain kind of fish. I know there's unmentioned mackerel in many of the fish blend oils. I have to stick with pure salmon oil for myself or.....you really don't want to know....

It's Vetronol or something like that. Voodoo recommended the brand. No more sardines for sure. Poor guy. I fed him again and he kept it all down. He's probably wondering what the heck I did to him!
