Well crap I don’t think Galliprant is doing a darn thing. It’s been 3 days and zero improvement.

almost all dog meds are human meds...call the vet and try something else...some dogs get oxycodone and super strong meds....I think its bs and owners taking em...but your vet has tons of options. which means you do also.

I took Niner off of Galliprant. After 3 days I saw zero relief in him I started him on Previcox last night and within 2 hours I could tell he felt better. This morning he was bugging Charlie lol - that's a good sign. We are just taking it day by day at this point.

Nikki takes Galliprant every day for general arthritis issues. It works well for her. Carprofen is Rimadyl and effectively ibuprofen. Zo is on Gabapentin for her neck injury in part because of the side effect of sedation so she doesn't get too excited. Zo was originally on Rimadyl as well but a followup visit put her on prednisone which cannot be given in conjunction with Rimadyl (carprofen) so we have to wait a couple of days for her system to flush out the Rimadyl before we can start her on pred.
