    Was this diagnosed as a hot spot? It looks to be more than that...but I'm glad he's on the mend.

    That's a bad one! My black Lab had one similar once. I've gotten into the habit of checking them over weekly and apply Dermoplast to any little ones. They clear up quick. I like the Vetericyn spray also, but harder to find and way more expensive. But, it doesn't sting so works really well on wimpy dogs like mine.

    I usually get it on Amazon - even had it shipped to our pet-sitter once when Cookie started one while we were away.
