I'm kind of bummed. The Benadryl didn't do anything. I gave him 3 pills. I guess we're in for a vet visit...

Maybe a lymph mode? Brady has a 'floater' in his cheek area that I thought was a lipoma but ended up being a lymph node.

Sam had his vet appointment this afternoon. She thinks the lump is a blocked salivary gland. She wants me to give him Benedryl every 8 hours for 2 days (4 capsules) and Rimadyl (anti-inflammatory) (1 pill twice a day for 4 days). If we see improvement in the size of the lump, we'll do nothing. If it's still the same size after 4 days, she wants me to bring him in for sedation and aspiration of the lump. I hate more wait and see...

You might want to give a dose of Pepcid an hour or so before the Rimadyl to avoid tummy upset. Sending good thoughts for Sam.
