That's really promising. Hugs and prayers to you both!

Whatever your decision, we hope you have quality time with her. Love her every day.

You can also look around for some studies that you might be able to participate in.

So we decided we are doing a drug called adriamycin. It's given in 5 treatments with 3 weeks between every treatment. This should buy us 9 months- year. It was a very difficult choice but seemed to give us the best balance for longevity, quality of life, and financially.

Thank you you to those who shared their stories and gave their support. I will continue to update as we try to make the best of this situation.

On a positive note Jedda has been acting more like her old self the last few days.

That's the treatment we used for our dog. Doxorubicin (what we used) is the generic name for Adriamycin. One money saving tip I learned during our boy's treatment was to get prescriptions and call around to human pharmacies for the best price. Walmart and Costco have good prices. For us, there was only one anti-nausea medication (Ondansetron) that was cheaper through the oncologist. Everything else we needed we shopped around. I hope Jedda goes into a nice long remission with her treatment and you have some wonderful quality time together. Let us know how her treatment goes.
