Raw place on topnof nose

Ok, Jax just turned one and once in a while he wanted to "bury" treats. We do not have many hiding spots in our house. Today he put one under a rug but in doing so rubbed the hide off his nose. It's a small area but now it's pink. He doesn't act like it hurts but is there something I should put on it?

My dog was nipped on his nose (fortunately at the welfare league where I adopted him from and we were taking classes -- thus all the dogs had their shots). They said to just let it heal naturally since he would just lick any salve off. I ignored it after a quick wash and the pink wound slowly vanished and eventually darkened back up. He does have a tiny divot but it gives him character.

Most likely the rough backing on the carpet. I would use bag balm. Wont hurt him if he licks it off. It comes in a green square can at CVS.
