Thanks for all the feedback folks. It's good to find out his behavior is not related to the testosterone. I have been more strict with him and can see a difference already. He's still my spoiled baby, but I'm going to get him in a class quickly to correct his behaviors. 3ChocMom, it's a bit of a bummer to think he won't develop the masculine features. His dad had a big blocky head and was one of the coolest looking Labs I've ever seen. I'm going to try and hold the wife off as long as possible but she wants it done now. Doesn't help that my vet also recommended 6 months.
I agree w/ the others. Wait. DO NOT fall for that boarding Nazi mentality! ARghhhhh.
I recently sold a male pup to a vet. Was initially very concerned w/ how he would take my contract (asking them to wait until 14-16 mos preferrably). I sent out my contract as soon as I knew there was a pup there for him, and immediately he responded by THANKING me for my neuter policy! He told me how many issues he had seen w/ early spay/neuters as a vet and all I can say was "what a relief". Not all vets are as open minded. And certainly, not all boarding or doggy day care facilities are either. You may want to see if there is a field trainer or show breeder/boarder in your area as they are much less hung up on the little nuggets still hanging.....
