Tricks to get dogs to take supplements

Abby will eat anything I hand her. The danes not so much....so I would make peanut butter or butterballs with the pills in the middle.

I used to break open capsules and mix the contents into canned food. Now I've learned I can just make a little meatball with it in the middle, or poke a hole in a fat slice of banana and poke it in, or similar with cooked zucchini slices, or just a gob of peanut butter. Cheese spread works like peanut butter, too. Chunky scrambled egg works for us, also.
My thing is to mix it up, so she doesn't get used to any one method.
