It sounds as if she really overdid it and had no time to rest as she normally would at home. Don't feel bad that you gave her nap times - you know when she needs her rest!

Is she holding her tail normally or is it limp? If the water was cold and she was swimming a lot, they can get a 'cold tail' or 'limber tail syndrome'. It's very painful for them - Polly hasn't had it but I know some labs that have from overdoing things. Here is a link with pictures; Cold Tail, Dead Tail, Limber Tail

Good that you are taking her to your vet. And welcome to the forum!

Hope all goes well with the check up. Today Lilly is very tired from two days of playing in the pool. First time this exercise was introduced and she loved it. I've put the pool away today and have kept her quiet by keeping her on leash and making her rest in her crate. Only way to make her rest. But also there is only two people here, which is a lot easier to keep a schedule. Learned my lesson with Lilly's ability to retrieve with overdoing. Labs are really like the "Energizer Bunny".

Sorry forgot to say Hi, I'm a New Member too.

She actually had the cold tail last summer from swimming too much at the same location so I do have some experience with those symptoms. Just just loves to swim and play so much! Will ensure that she is on more time outs the next time that we go.

Welcome to all the newbies on the thread.

Could be food allergies. Was in our case.
