Yes I have embrace insurance for Max ... it is a 80 /20 plan ..... Have used it a couple of times , pay up front then vets office fax 's paper work then receive money back . For first couple years had wellness plan also , not used anymore from me

there are many plans out there , can do a search for other threads using box at top right side . cant think right off the names others have used

    good luck

Thanks! I did a search and am having some quotes sent to me. I was not at all familiar with Embrace. I did a search for pet insurance on the USAA.com website, and Embrace was what popped up.

Was not aware of USAA site ..... I have not had any problems , ( knock on wood have not used it much either ) . Make sure you go over what they do not cover ( any plan ) . Also if they embrace try to sell wellness plan on top make sure what that covers and how much they will pay out

I have Healthy Paws. I have not used it, but I liked the lower yearly deductible and we have 90/10 coverage plus they cover numerous common issues. Plus I got a free Amazon gift card...

When we were looking for insurance, we were looking at Embrace versus PetPlan - we chose the PetPlan company. Seem to have better reviews, and at the time, the board here, before it crashed had tons of members with Petplan with excellent feedback and reviews.

Petplan has already reimbursed us for a vulvoplasty surgery we had done on our puppy, as well as a bowl impaction my big guy had 6mnths ago - from eating too much raw bone.

the key to any insurance policy is to enroll before any pre existing conditions. I dont think any company will insure pets that already have issues. also pay attention to what exams/checkups you need to do as not to void your coverage. one aspect that can get very expensive are teeth. I need to do a yearly dental exam to keep chili's dental coverage.

Another recommendation for Healthy Paws. Agree with Voodoo about the importance of enrolling as soon as possible so there are no "preexisting conditions".

Well, it's narrowed down to Petplan and Healthy Paws. Now, I just need to see if they will enroll a dog that doesn't have a name yet. On all the quotes, I had to enter the pet's name.
