Right - this is super helpful. We are going back to the vet and asking for clavamox! The tests are a little more difficult as the vet clinics are not that well equipped at all and given the stigma to dogs here it is not feasible to sneak into a human clinic . That said this gives me something more to work on with her.

Now I have had her 11 days it is clear that it is really continual dripping and actually it is like a tap with a leak. She does pee pee outside but this is not as frequent as my past dogs have. She doesn't really lick herself either which seems strange. Anyway I will update you all on how we get on with this issue but you have all been great!

Tori, I'm not sure of the availability of these in Cairo, but is there someway you can get them? Even if ordering online, or having a friend in another country that can do it and send them to you? These are a godsend.

I'm dealing with a leakiy dog myself, but it's more a senior issue, with neurological components. In other words, she doesn't recognize she has to pee and wets herself.

I use these with a human male incontinence guard, and they work a charm.

The panties will help. Just be sure to wash her good frequently so the urine does not scald her skin.

    Please keep us updated.

Thank you guys.... I am trying to get her to used to wearing panties but she really is not happy with them. I am washing her 3 times per day and giving her fresh towels to lay on. I have some meds coming from Serbia this weekend which I pray will help. She does not realise she is doing it the same as your doggy. With the hormones she is taking she has improved and is actually going to pee pee herself which is a good step but of course still leaks continually. I counted - 1 drip every 5 to 10 seconds with out exception even after pee pee. I have the horrible feeling though that she will end up having surgery. Will keep you posted and thanks for the support !

thank you for going through all this for her! is there any way to get her to another place in Europe that has the equipment and the expertise to deal with her issues? it sounds like if it really is utopic ureter, that the clinics there don't sound like they would be a good place to have her surgery done.

In an ideal world this would be perfect but it takes three months from chipping and injections to allow blood work to be done to get her to Europe and returning her to Egypt after this would seem unfair. I have shipped a dog from Egypt once before and it is quite a stressful time all round. I think this will be a serious conversation I need to have with myself (as I am now head over heals in love with Juno) and the vet to see if getting treatment and rehoming her outside of Egypt would be the better option for her .
