You should not have taken a 10 week old puppy to the river. He doesn't have all his shots. Many people here feed Purina to their dogs and their dogs thrive on it. Blue Buffalo feed has chicken byproduct meal in it (look at their most recent press release) and Purina Pro Plan does not. It's not about what food you think is better, it's about what food your DOG does best on. It takes 2 weeks to do a full food switch. There are many reasons a puppy could have soft stool. Overfeeding, stress, excitement...
Your GoFund me page states you and your girlfriend are both college students so you don't have money. How do you have time for a Lab puppy? Labs have TONS of energy.

Sigh. Dude, you need to grow a pair. You show up on a forum asking internet strangers for money and then get defensive because you messed up or because people think this is a scam? You spent all of your money on a puppy and food - how were you planning on paying for all of the puppy shots (several due in the next 6 weeks, btw)? Training classes? Do you tell your college professors that you couldn't buy books because you spent all of your money on the meal plan?
The cost of giardia treatment is a very small drop in what will be many years of preventative health care, treatments and general expenses for your dog. You better get on a payment plan ASAP with your vet. Get dog insurance. Get a side job if you have to. And for the love of all things holy, don't take your pup places where it could be exposed to parvo until he has gotten all of his shots.
Sorry if this all sounds harsh, but a puppy is not an accessory. It's a living, breathing being whose well being and safety are entirely your responsibility.

sorry your puppy is sick. but if you need to fundraise for girdeah you are going to have a rough go of it. this is really just typical vetting and cheap as far as ailments go. how many rounds of shots has the puppy had? has he seen a vet at all since you got him?
i highly recommend reading on age appropriate exercise as well and where it is safe and not safe to bring a puppy. at 10 weeks walks should be short and he should not be in places where lots of dogs gather like pet stores and dog parks. yes socialisation in VERY crucial but you need to do so safely.

I just can't wrap my head around how it seems to be so easy for some people to expect others to give them money...especially strangers...whether the "story" is legitimate or not. I'm all for helping out, but it's got to be my idea.
