The dark stuff could also be bile which you can see with an obstruction. Keep an eye out for anything unusual coming out of either end (sock, etc) which could explain an obstruction. Hopefully she is over it.

Thanks to all for the advice and concern. Reilly still seems to feel fine, but she threw up on our bed again last night (after we had just washed the comforter of course), and I took her to the vet today. The vet examined her and ran bloodwork. Everything looked normal. We are going to try pepcid with her afternoon meal, and see if that does the trick. If not, then I am to call the vet back.

We may also try changing up the meal times to see if that helps, although I think it would be pretty difficult. Reilly is a really routine oriented dog, and is also pretty into her meals. She barks non-stop if we don't feed her at her regular meal time, so it would have to be a gradual change over from an afternoon meal to an evening meal. I also wonder if feeding her more in the evening would lead to weight gain (as it does in people)? We really have to fight to keep her weight down. My girl definitely likes to eat!

Hope you took him to the Vet.

Our 8 year old Toby has been throwing up and he has now been diagnosed with Pancreatitis which is very serious in dogs. He is in the Veterinary Hospital right now and we are trying everything we can to get the funds to keep him there a few more days as it could mean him getting better or not.
