Peroxide has been used for various consumptions of both of my labs including: rocks, grapes, socks, hair scrunchies, etc. Peroxide is a wonder tool for vomiting, however, I will tell you this if you ever need to do it again- GOOD LUCK!!!! They know what is coming and you have never felt strength until you are grappling with a 75 lb lab trying to squirt peroxide in mouth with turkey baster- and that is with another adult helper!!!!!!!
How much peroxide do they get? I've wondered this since my labs (maya especially) like to consume..well, anything!
I was told by our vet to give him 4 tablespoons, which took 3 of us to give it to him - one to give and two to hold him and then wait 10 to 15 minutues and if he hadn't thrown up to give him 2 more tablespoons and again wait 10 - 15 minutes and keep repeating until he was sick. Cooper was sick after the 4 tablespoons thankfully I didn't have to give him anymore.
