Awaiting cytology results- any spare mojo?

On Thursday evening I noticed a lump on Chase's nose/cheek area, kind of below his left eye. After a somewhat sleepless night I took him to the vet on Friday morning and she did a needle aspiration and sent the sample to cytology. She said it's fluctuant and moveable, in case that makes a difference to anyone. Of course, being a weekend, the results have not come back yet as of this afternoon but she called the lab and called me to check on Chase and to let me know the results weren't in yet.

It isn't sore, he didn't jump out of his skin when she was probing it or when she stuck a needle into it twice to try to get a sample. No pus, no clue. She said sometimes a tooth abscess will show up like that but his teeth look "pretty good" with no obvious signs of abscess.

So, it has been a long weekend, with good old OH remarking on the lump gloomily with a frequency that is completely aggravating. Have you felt it? Has the vet called? I think it's getting bigger! YES! NO! STOP TALKING!!!!

So, if you have any to spare for my sweet, aloof boy, I'd welcome a few good thoughts sent his way.

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”

Good thoughts headed your way. Sometimes teeth can look really good and have under-the-gumline lesions/abcesses....you can't tell without x-rays.

Lots of mojo available and you should get it,

    right

    NOW.

Your OH must be related to mine, always dwelling on the negative and being gloomy, a true pessimist. You know what they say about pessimists? Everywhere they go, everything they do, they always have a good time because it always turns out better than they thought it would. Hope it holds true here and turns out better than he thinks. In the meantime he can keep it to himself.
