Zeel for joint pain - who here uses it? ......

I ordered some via recommendations that others have had good results with it. I'd like to have something around the house for when the dogs play too rough and need something to take the edge off - not very often, but it does happen.

Would like to know others experience with this product & how much is one to give a 46lb & 65lb dog respectively?

Also have these 2 on Natural Stride powder, with cetyl M....and I have to say, the stuff is amazing compared to other products I've used based on how easy Rivers moves after playing super rough with Creek.

The dosage for Zeel tablets in dogs is one tablet every 8 hours for 2 weeks then decrease to every 12 hours for maintenance. Some dogs require three times a day dose to manage symptoms. Zeel tablets are meant to dissolve slowly in the mouth, not be swallowed whole, if possible.

(cut/paste from Zeel by Heel - for Dogs and Cats - Page 1) There's more at that link that you may be interested in reading before using.

Let us know how it works.

We did try Zeel at the recommendation of our Alt Vet about 5 months ago.
Ruby is 12 yo, approx 70-75 lbs.
We did 1 pill in morning & 1 pill at night.
We were using it in addition to Gabapentin. (instead of Rimadyl - we had the negative reaction!)
I only bought 1 bottle of it which is 100 count.
I didn't see a noticable difference during that 100 count period, so we discontinued.
I'm not saying it didn't work, it just might be a situational kind of thing. Ruby is an "old" girl and just might need some high power medications at this stage.
It might work better on mild cases, not sure.

Rivers is actually doing extremely well on the Natural Stride joint supplement. He broke his left front foot 4yrs back & his left rear Achilles tendon 2yrs ago; last summer he also pushed his front left shoulder too far while playing - see a scenario here

Everything's on the left side, poor boy.

He's recovered from each injury very well; but there are times when they really start playing, chasing each other hard, or swimming too long and he needs just *something* to take the edge off.
