Breed enough litters and something or some things will show up. It is just part of being a breeder. Test for what you can and choose carefully but still, sometimes, things just pop up and you go- where on earth did that come from? Were both litters out crosses and were sires unrelated to each other? Any related lines in the sires pedigree? That does royally suck though when you feel you have to choose to just let a line end. Been there, done that and it really stinks.

I am happy with my vet's diagnosis, no need to have to go to Dodds and spend more money.

Both sires were unrelated and both were outcrosses. I don't mind starting over, I wasn't producing what I wanted.

Jean Dodds charges less for the testing then most vets. Its just a matter of having the blood collected and shipping to her and still ends up less money.

Its still worth looking at her site for info on proper testing even if having your regular vet doing the testing.
