Hello and Welcome Back!
The board crashed a while back and we all had to rejoin.
So sorry about the lump. No information but wanted to sent mojo that it turns out to be nothing. Please keep us updated when you can.
Hello all, this is my first post under this name, but not my first post on this board. I had trouble accessing my old user name (I haven't posted on here in years), so I guess this is my new name.
I have a yellow lab named Austin and he just turned 10 years old last month. He is in excellent shape, such that he looks half his age. On Friday, I noticed a growth on his gums right above his front teeth. This is relatively new because it was not there several months ago when he had his teeth cleaned by the vet. I sent a picture to the vet and Austin will be going to get it removed on Tuesday. The vet would not give me a diagnosis because he needs to see him in person first. He felt that he would be able to remove it all in one shot. Attached is a picture of the growth. Does anybody have any experience with this type of thing on their dog? A google search seems to indicate it's an epulis, which are common and usually benign. I'm being positive and upbeat that it'll be removed and that will be that, but of course, there's a part of me that's extremely nervous.
Thanks for any input you guys can give me.

Never seen anything like that. Hope it's nothing serious! And welcome back!
No advice...but sending good thoughts!!!
I am certainly not a Vet...but this does look like an Epulis tumor...which can be common in older dogs.
He really needs a Vet visit for a professional diagnosis.
Good luck with your boy and please keep us posted.
