    Officially Allergic to the World

Just got back from the derm vet with skin testing results. Macy is allergic to the world- including me. Dust, human dander, various grasses, feathers, trees etc. We are beginning Immunotherapy and in the meantime she will continue on Apoquel to keep her comfortable.
Glad I took her in and could have this done for her.
    What a journey.

Honestly that's why I never got Tux tested, it would probably come back positive for most things that I can't control. Thankfully I am able to manage things quite well, and I wish you luck on your own journey.

We had a similar situation with our black lab Amy. She did very well on the immunotherapy up until we lost her last year at almost 15 years of age.

Good to know Immunotherapy worked for Amy. I am glad to get started with it since nothing else worked for her. Macy's only three.
The only allergen that seems within my control is feathers. Bye bye feather pillows. The down comforter is in the linen closet but I will probably donate that too.

Sending good thoughts that the immunotherapy gives Amy relief.

Allergies just stink, sometimes literally. Glad you have found something to try, good thoughts for Macy. Really? Human dander? Boy, that's tough.

Our chocolate was tested as well. Not allergic to us, but has to take allergy medicine every day and allergy drops 2X a day (used to be shots).

Derm vet gave us the option for daily drops or weekly shots. I opted for the shots. She will get two shots for a few weeks and then one shot a week. Macy got her first set of shots yesterday. She didn't even notice.
