Probably. When they are little I clip once a week whether it's needed or not. That way it can be fun and games and some treats. Doesn't matter how good a job I do, I can touch it up the next time. As an adult Jet's only needed once a month at most but Oban gets his once a week. They walk the same places, different nails. My first dog never had his nails clipped.

Once a week for Mardi. Sometimes she's antsy so I'll only get a couple of paws done and will let the others go to the next week. Her nails grow so fast.

Archie gets his done at the vet or PetsMart. Guess his will grow a little since I'm not taking him there with the canine influenza epidemic around here.

I only do Luna's dews. The rest of them trim themselves.

I do Hemi every 2 weeks. His wear themselves off as well all the walking and agility. Dew claw is always noticeable as needing to be cut

I suppose, like humans, that certain labs nails grow at a different rate. Gabby is on a 2 or 3 week schedule.

Lola had her dew claws taken out as a pup. We used to trim Lola's nails, but we now take her to Petsmart once a month for a nail grind...worth every penny.

Doesn't need to be done once a week but might help pup get used to it.
I won't because we have enough other stuff to fight over.
