    Nzymes Question

Here's a question for anyone on the board that has tried, heard of or used the Nzymes products.
Several months ago our 18 month old chocolate Buddy was losing patches of hair due to scratching and chewing. We also noticed a similar pattern with the other dogs too. Since everyone was having the same issue, I immediately thought of Mange. A trip with Buddy to the vet showed no evidence of mites but did turn up a yeast infection and an allergy testing was done coming back with quite a few issues. >

Our vet placed him on Hills s/d food, wanted to give him immunity suppressants and steroids for the allergies. Looking back on it, I believe was killing my dogs with love. I was feeding them all kinds of bad crap, pizza crusts for everyone, pieces of sandwich, table scraps, Milk Bones, processed Jerky Treats... Lots of starches, grains and carbs. Their kibble was the Costco mature for the older dogs and Merrrick Large Breed Puppy for Buddy.
Lots of reading about dog allergies and yeast infections led me to switch kibble to a meat based, grain free food from Orijen. The high protein has not caused any stool problems in any of them and I've even switched the kittiens to the cat version of Orijen. They all get a squirt of Pollack fish oil and aspoon of Green Tripe with each meal. I’ve cut out all corn, wheat, potatoes and other starches. Their only treats are dehydrated chicken breast strips and occasionally a rawhide chew. I’m considering going Raw but haven’t made that change yet.>

In addition I read about Nzymes and their program to help cleanse and restore a proper yeast balance internally and externally. We've been on their program for acouple of months now and their information says it could take up to a year to correct. It’s hard to say if I’ve seen any improvements and was wondering if anyone has had success with them or can let me know what has helped you and your pets with yeast or allergies.>

I've used their probiotic (Bacpak Plus) for years successfully. It has really reduced my food bill as digestion is much better.

I have referred a few friends to them to try their yeast kit--- and it's worked wonders! Definitely worth a shot!!!

I had a yellow girl, Fannie who had all kind of skin/yeast issues. I used Enzymes for a couple of years with her, and it definitely helped. I think if I had started it when the issues began I could have had a full recovery. My daughters Golden has a lot of skin issues, and she's been using Enzymes with him and he's had a lot of improvement. I think it's a good product and can defiantly help.

Thanks, this is a nasty issue I'm trying to resolve without the use of steroids or drugs. Having ups and downs. Some days the pups are great with no chewing or scratching so the cones come off and the next day they will be chewing themselves raw. Arggh!
