Any Tips/Experience Managing Old Dog Pain?

I used to take my old dog to the dog park, which he loved, but he was great at self regulating. He'd hobble around and visit people and say hi to a few dogs. I'd follow him so that he wasn't taken out by a rambunctious young pup. After about 20 minutes he'd lay on his old bed that I and watch the world go by for a bit.
