    Hello again to everyone,

Today things took a turn for the worse. Rocco was outside today and he was very wobbly on his feet. He froze in place and then just completely collapsed hard and began to cry. Eventually I was able to get him back to his feet but his leg is getting worse. If anyone reading this can please help, we need it now more than ever. I am literally in tears as I am writing this because if we cannot get this CCL surgery soon I am going to have no choice but to put him down. Even if it has to resort to an amputation and he has to learn to walk on 3 legs or I have to get him a doggie wheelchair.. I just cannot stand to see him like this. To make matter worse he now has a growth on his good hind leg that is about the size of a marble. It recently opened up and was beginning to ooze puss and blood. I have it wrapped and treated but it is located right above his tendon and the wrapping on the leg is making it even harder for him to get around. I am begging anyone to please help us, I don't know what else to do. Like I said it is needed now more than ever so PLEASE find it in your hearts to share his page and if you can please donate. How big is the growth, I personally wouldn't wrap it if it's restricting his mobility, LAST thing you want is more stress on either back leg at this time....just keep him out of the dirt, keep it clean, etc. it could very well be an abscess, wrapping it may allow the infection to remain inside, let it get air.

In regards to the CCL surgery, have you looked into Carecredit; it is a credit card that allows you to get the surgery done asap & make payments without interest for so many months, can't remember for sure.

Have you looked around to try and find a small-town country vet, most of them are willing to take payments too.

I am very sorry you're in this predicament, I remember when my then 6mnth old puppy had to have shoulder surgery, she couldn't walk more then 5 steps before screaming.....Our vet allowed us to make payments with $300 up front.

Keep us posted, but definitely look around to different vet clinics, I find it's the small-town, old timer vet practices that are very helpful in that regard.

I wish I could help but I have 2 dogs of my own & working 2 jobs, 6 days a week just to support what I have.

Yes I did give their credit option a try... Something along the lines of $100 down and you pay $50 a month but unfortunately I was denied (have a terrible credit history). I also even attempted to take a bank loan which I pretty much knew was a waste of time with my credit history and of course was denied on that as well. They actually informed me that my credit score is a 485 so I don't think credit is much of an option to me. On a brighter note I was able to sell off some personal belongings and raise an additional $900 so our goal is now less than half of what it was. Rocco has actually gotten to the point where I have to force him to stand up to go out and when he is outside he'll collapse in the middle of trying to use the bathroom. He actually pee'd in the house while laying down for the first time in over 10 years yesterday so I know how uncomfortable he has to be. The vet has given me a prescription of 180 tramadol to keep him on in the meanwhile to help with any pain. It has really been tearing me up and has me more motivated than ever to get this taken care of. Where theres a will, theres a way and I will find that way no matter what. I really do appreciate all the support and suggestions guys. Thank you all so very much
