    Nexguard and Heartguard.
Frontline didn't work - learned that the hard way.
Trifexis worked but was such a stuggle to get them to eat that bill smelly tablet.
Nexguard is like a treat to them but is not inexpensive.

Frontline Plus year round for the dogs and cats. Neem Oil and Lemongrass Shampoo occasionally for the dogs. We've never had a flea problem but ticks are an issue here.

I use Sentry. It's a natural product. I've used it for 2 summers now and only found a couple of ticks each summer and no fleas.

Thanks everyone! We currently use Sentinel for Heartworm and Vectra (a topical we get at the vet) for fleas. I was trying to see if there was a more natural route we can go. We've tried the Flea Flicker Tick Kicker spray before, but it didn't keep the ticks off and Reggie hates it when we spray it on him. We tried making our own kind of "collar" with it by saturating his collar with it once a week and it worked for the fleas, but we found a few ticks on him. So we went back to a topical treatment.

    Has anyone tried diatomaceous earth?

Diatomaceous Earth, Food Grade. Just rub it into their coats and haven't had an issue with fleas/ticks yet.
