I agree, the pup doesn't seem to be a fit for your family. A good breeder would take the pup back with no hesitation. But do not expect your money back immediately. They may only refund you once the pup has been rehomed.

    Hi all,

Just came back from the Vet and took a urine sample. It showed white cells and crystal were present. She has cystitis and they are culturing a sample to see what bacteria grows. They think it could also be diet related. Have to wait 2 days for results. But I am in tears because it's the second time now she has directed aggression at me and only through the knowledge I have on dog behaviour stopped it from escalating. She has attacked the other lab we have. Thankfully the older lab doesn't retaliate and looks to me for help. The Vet said her health isn't bead enough to cause redirected aggression because of pain. I read there is a condition called idiopathic aggression. No known cause...just happens.

So so apart from the urine her stool has lightened and just making form and she is scratching more than mormal. I once owned a West Highland and he was nervous aggressive and had terrible ear and skin issues. I have also looked after a lab x who was dog aggressive and another lab who had immflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome colitis and ate his stool. These 2 labs were not mine but helping out friends short term.

So this is why I joined the forum because this poor puppy is having such a tough start to life and I need to hear what others think.

I'm going to be blunt. In the beginning, it appeared you were looking for problems. Maybe because you had problems w/ other dogs prior, maybe not. Can you just clean your slate and return this dog before you scar it too? It sounds like you've already dubbed it a bad dog, ready to do harm. I now understand why long time breeders will avoid those pup buyers like you. It rarely ends up satisfying for the dog or the breeder.

I seriously doubt your 5.5 month old puppy is aggressive. Wild and untrained is what you 're dealing with. It takes time and effort to get a nice calm family companion, it doesn't happen overnight.
