    Ewww

Remember me posting about not being able to decide to put the boys on heart worm meds? Well tonight at the dinner table of course - hubby tells me there was a huge mosquito in our bathroom. He decided to squish it and he said he has never seen so much blood come out of a squashed bug like that. Maybe it had just gotten done feeding? On who I wonder? As soon as he said that I decided for sure I did the right thing in putting the boys on heart worm meds. I had found a mosquito in the kitchen earlier in the week. Yuck - sure enough my son (smart aleck that one) says hubby and I need to quit leaving doors open. I don't leave doors open and hubby knows he does LOL.

Well that's one way for you to get a straight answer LOL. Mosquitoes are icky! They're everywhere here right now, I literally just squished one in the kitchen. My mom has this mosquito plant on the patio where the dogs hang out and it seems like it keeps them slightly deterred.

They are terrible here. Already! My poor husband gets it the worst. Definitely will be talking to the breeder about what needs to be done to protect our pup.

    Blood suckers, hate them.

Good for you Nancy, think you did the right thing for your boys! Love your sig pic.

I am glad it made you feel better. It is hard sometimes to decide how/what to treat but you obviously did the right thing.

Good call. We have a huge mosquito problem here so we do heartworm meds all year. It's an ugly parasite.

Found the first one last night buzzing around in the bathroom. Had Archie's heartworm test done yesterday and he is clear, yeah. Gotta get Mardi in to the vet for hers. Don't like to put down nature's creatures but cannot figure out anything good about a mosquito.

I'm the one who leaves the back door open. Archie loves being out and Mardi likes being able to come and go during the day. It works fine until the flies and mosquitoes start coming inside.
