So very sorry. It's just not the same without that special sound of paws in the house. Do not second guess yourself. It is better a day too soon than a day too late and Max be in pain. You gave him the ultimate gift of love, relief from illness and pain. It is we who are left behind to grieve. We home seniors and the minute they come into the house I promise them I will never let them suffer when quality of life is no longer there.

Remember, he is not gone, but gone ahead. You two will meet again. Until then, he lives in your heart, always with you.

    Rest In Peace Max

My heart is broken for you. Please try not to second guess your decision, it is the most selfless act of love you could have given Max. I know how hard it is to lose a young dog, especially so quickly. I also know there are really no words that help. Be kind to yourself and make sure your wife is also. Cry together, talk about favorite "Max moments", laugh a little and cry some more. Give yourself time to deal with the grief, shock and anger. Please come here and talk about your sweet boy when ever you need to, we do understand. ((((hugs))))
