The spreadsheet is a smart idea to keep everything straight.

Hoping your sweetie is doing well and this will be a thing of the past.

His eye is looking good this morning and he is back to his normal, wonderful self. The challenge we are having today is that he is resisting having all the drops put in. I had been giving him drops for the past several weeks without any problem whatsoever. Now he starts running as soon as he sees me coming with the drops, and of course I need to give him five different kinds of drops daily. Bribery with treats is having only limited success -- he's figured it out. I'll discuss it with the vet at my appointment today.

Pockets, commands, and leashes are wonderful things. Pockets hide bottles really well, as long as he doesn't get to see you grab the bottle first. Don't put drops in his eyes just when he is coming in from outdoors, though, or you might not be able to get him in. Feed him with a leash on, and he gets drops before his meal, maybe, with the meal as a reward. If necessary, split the meals into parts, in case he gets one drop, then another 20 minutes later. Let us know what other suggestions the vet has--we can all learn from your success. Glad that he is doing well.

Just got back from the vet. He is very pleased with Charlie's progress. He has even reduced the frequency of some of the drops -- thank the good Lord for that.

The technician showed us a more efficient way to administer drops. One person straddles the dog from behind and holds his muzzle with two hands while the second person quickly plops in the drops. It seems to work better and only takes a few seconds.

Good. Oban is super easy BUT I set him up. In the bathroom with the door closed. I keep a tin of dog treats in there, small kibble cat food really, and I make sure to treat him in there all the time. I sit on the bathtub with him between my legs and facing away from me. I can hold him with my legs wrapped around his chest. Works great for ears and eyes.

I had to put drops in Tillys eyes daily for about 10 months, so kinda got pretty good at it! We made a routine - eye drops within view on the kitchen bench next to the very high value treats. After dinner, I'd pick up the bottle and the teats and she'd run to her bed to get the drops, then the treat and she would 'kiss' the eye drops. All the time telling her what a great girl she was. Hope this helps.

Yes, thank you, that helps. That is the routine we are getting into. Eye drops = yummy treat. It seems to be working.
