    Softer Than Normal Poos

Archie is on an antibiotic for an infected bump on his side. I'm assuming that this is giving him softer than normal poos. Started him on Benefiber yesterday but wondered, once or twice a day? Sure don't want to block him up with too much fiber. I'm hoping that a firmer poop will also help with his anal gland (perianal fistulas) problem.

Ram has been on a ten day course of antibiotics since his surgery last week, and thanks to this site I also started him on probiotics with the first dose and he has had normal poops.

One normal size tissue should do the trick. Lucy kitten knocked over the bathroom waste basket and Oban still eats tissues.

Kidding, but given the effect on Oban it should accomplish all you want.

How much benefiber given ? that may be an option here too . Knock on wood .. since starting seems to make a difference to the good with glands

Scully used to get a rounded teaspoon (measured with an actual spoon, not a measuring spoon) back in the day. If an antibiotic is the problem though, I would consider a probiotic to help.

Perfect solution since paper eating is one of Archie's favorite things.

Archie has a followup visit to the vet tomorrow. We'll see how the back end is going. The infected bump is definitely better.

Sophie is on antibiotics for a couple hots spots at the moment. I keep some Forta Flora on hand for these occasions. Today is day 4 and her poo's are a bit soft, but overall ok.

Much, much better. He is getting Benefiber in the morning and yogurt in the afternoon and he's back to normal poos.

Stinker has discovered the "hidden" capsule in the cheese slice so I've changed over to cream cheese. Went right down the hatch this evening. Not much longer to go.
