    I hope it's nothing also, but if it's conjunctivitis I recommend skipping the eyedrops altogether and asking for the ointment. Drops are HELL trying to apply and ointment is easy

    We got back from the vet--He looked at his eye, and saw irritation that seems to be from allergies. There was no evidence of infection, foreign body, or scratching. He thinks its probably from the algae in the lake by our house. We got some eye drops to reduce irritation. Jake was actually right all along, he thought it was irritation from the lake! After the vet we went for a long walk around the lake and now hes asleep on his bed! Thanks everyone!!!

    The color can indicate conjunctivitis. Not sure they do a specific test like a smear under a microscope, so if not just be careful because it is contagious. Hoping its just allergy like the vet said.
