Any owners with blind/heavily vision impaired dogs?

Some of you all may have seen my recent post of our dog going suddenly/recently blind (Story). We are doing whatever we can to help him adjust, but were just curious if anyone had any experience with introducing a new dog to a vision impaired one. Obviously, we aren't going to do this immediately, and only just tossing around the idea. We will give ample time to adjust, but part of us feels like it may help keep his spirits up. I still have taken him to work with me pretty regularly after, and anytime sometime brings a dog in, he can sense/smell them and absolutely loves it. He even attempts to play face bite (albeit a little more clumsily) but still has the sweetest heart. Just curious if anyone has any experience with this. First and foremost on our minds is concentrating on him for a good while, but when it comes down to it, we just want to make him the happiest he can be with his new world. Any helpful feedback is greatly appreciated!

I fostered a blind Lab once and my dogs and any dogs we met could not have cared less. This dog was already well-adjusted and had been managing quite well for a few years without his vision. Even in my house the first day you wouldn't know that he was blind.

I'd treat it just like any other dog-dog meeting. Based on the photos your dog seems sweet and on the passive side, so a dog that isn't a bully and with a similar personality would probably be your best bet.
