    Losing puppy teeth

Yesterday I noticed blood on Milo's paw and then in his mouth. It freaked me out till I noticed a rear tooth laying on the ground. Whew! I had visions of huge vet bills dancing in my head. I got to looking in his mouth and noticed a new set of canines coming in right next to his puppy teeth. Looks like my boy is starting to lose his puppy needle teeth.

Yay!!! It gets much better after this.

However I know exactly what you mean. I will never forget the one time I was sitting down and looked and noticed blood. I went and get a dishcloth and ran cold water on it and let him chew on that. Teething can be more concerning to us than them. Look out on the floor for sharp puppy teeth. You usually find them with your bare feet.

Lucky you, to find the tooth.

Our bloody teeth story is funny. Though I gave him those white rope bones, soaked then frozen, Oban obviously did most of his teething on his Golden Retriever puppy friend's neck ruff. We discovered this when another dog walker stopped us with a look of disbelieving horror on her face to ask if we knew the GR was bleeding and was he all right. His normally pale fur at his neck was covered in bright, red blood. A LOT of bright, red blood. So much my friend was afraid her car would be covered in it too. I asked her to look when she bathed her pup but she never found any teeth. Two weeks later it happened again.

I actually have almost all of Hemi's baby teeth, they seemed to come out all the time while we were playing tug.

Like others, I found the first tooth with my foot and was afraid she had been injured because of the blood on her toys. Soon after, Macy lost five teeth in one day. I did not miss her baby sharp teeth biting on me.

I’ve found a couple over the years from my dogs but they seem to swallow most of them.
