Glad to hear he's home and resting! I hope things go smoothly for you all.
Timber had surgery on Wednesday. I was able to get him home yesterday. He was so groggy! He has a pain patch on, along with a few other medications. I'm hoping everything goes well. It is very hard with a big dog. He's resting now in his crate. The biggest problem is that we have 4 steps up to the door.
I bought a ramp but it is not too sturdy and he is afraid of it. It takes two people to get him in and out.
This will be a long summer, but he wasn't too happy before. We go back on July 1st for first follow up.
Have to submit our first claim to Petplan. So glad I got insurance. I just had a feeling he would be "one of those dogs". I thought we'd need it for an obstruction at some point, with all the things he has eaten!
That's 3 knee surgeries on here just recently! My surgeon said they do about 5 a week at this referral hospital. Ugh!
Glad to hear he's home and resting! I hope things go smoothly for you all.
I really can't get over how many dogs are getting CCL surgery. it's positively insane. Sending good thoughts for a smooth recovery

My boy Samson has TTA surgery scheduled for July 1. I hope Timers recovery is smooth and non eventful. Fortunately I have two stairs to navigate. My biggest stress point is how I am going to transport him home and then to subsequent appointments. I have an Explorer. I believe my solution is to rent a car. Not sure. Please post some follow-up or tips. I've searched the board for older posts and I'm not finding any with TTA stories. Best wishes for Timber!
