It looks nasty but good to hear it's manageable. Sending positive thoughts that it heals quickly.

Poor Daisy! That must be uncomfortable. It looks like it's making progress so hopefully she will feel better soon. Sam had a nasty skin infection/ hot spot gone wild the vet gave him an injection of an antibiotic called Convenia. It was truly a miracle cure. I don't know if it would have worked on Daisy and hopefully she doesn't have anything like this again, but I thought I'd share since one injection was so much easier than a bunch of pills.

Initially I thought it was a side effect or reaction to one of her meds. Poor Daisy continued good healing thoughts as she gets better. Thankfully she isn't itchy or that would be a real mess trying to get her back cleared up and keep her from scratching too.

Gentle feel better hugs to sweet Daisy.

It spread to her tail so now I'm worried that it might be. This has been such an emotional roller coaster for us. It's like we can't catch a break

Not really, it spread to the base of the tail and the hair in that area and down towards her butt has started to peel off. Trying to stay positive but the whole thing has us worried and discouraged. We go back for another check up in the next week or so, I'm going to ask the vet to do a biopsy.
