The poops actually have quiet a foul smell. The tech who ran tests on his stool yesterday even commented on it.

I got got in touch with my breeder last night and she's wondering if it's the food, so we've contacted them last night to see if they've made changes.

She recommended we start him on pro biopics - she said we can use just human stuff from the pharmacy. Anyone do that before?

Horrible, foul smelling poop is a classic symptom of giardia. Personally in my opinion, given his age and the duration of the symptoms, your vet should absolutely be treating for giardia even if the stool sample shows negative. Giardia can be difficult to catch on a sample.

I've already requested they treat him for it and at this time they don't want to.
I've even spoken to a different vet (beside my work, more
    convienent that day)
and she said the dog could have gotten into anything.

No one is taking me seriously!

2 nights in a row he's slept great. But still has mushy poop.

Probiotics, yes I think many of us use them and have used human stuff from the pharmacy. WE used Acidophilus that came in tablet form and had to be kept refrigerated. Antibiotics kill off beneficial bacteria in the gut. When we used acidophilus we had to be sure to give it at a different time than the antibiotic and had to give it for a couple of weeks after stopping the antibotic.

We have also, in the depths of diarrhoea, used Rxzymes to aid in digestion. I think in Canada we can only get this from the Vet.

Rx Zyme for Pets Powder - 120 Grams

It does sound like you might need a different Vet.

Giardia is a supplemental test included in a "comprehensive" fecal exam. A "standard" fecal exam would not include giardia. I would go to another Vet and find out what they are actually testing for and likely get him on metronidazole, panacur, etc...

The foul smelling and funny poo does sound like giardia. I know numerous people have mentioned that as well as his food. But you said it's in the evening mostly? Are you gone during the day? Could he be stressed and anxious and holding his morning poop until you get back? Or maybe he is heat intolerant?

My my dog was diagnosed with giardia after vacationing last fall. He had two rounds of antibiotics and his poop was still runny. I put him on probiotics and digestive enzymes and subtracted the coconut oil. His poop is soft but firm, but at the very end of each pile he squeezes out some very loose stool. I think part of that is because he doesn't always want to poo because he's too busy so when he does some of it is just soft and gross. I hope you can figure it out and get some relief for your poor boy!

Are you 100% sure he's not eating something when you're not looking? I'm not thinking food here....I'm thinking poop.

Giardia is not bacteria, it's a protozoa and would need different meds.

Wrigley, my Griff, had an over abundance of bacteria in her gut and we just could not get it under control. We did metronidazole from the vet. We did probiotics...all different kinds....

I bought some tylan online and starting giving her some each meal and in about a week, the problem with solved.

PM me if you want the link on Amazon and how I gave it. And BTW, the vet knew what I was doing and approved it and it worked.

My only addition is that it doesn't have to be something he ate but drinking water from puddles outside can introduce giardiasis or other "germs". I'm sorry you're going through this. Getting your pup's poops in good shape can be frustrating.

“Because of the dog's joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?”
