7 month old lab mix puppy and chronic vomiting.. Any ideas?

My lab puppy mix began vomiting about 2-3 months ago and would vomit roughly once a week. However it has slowly turned into her now throwing up almost daily. Besides the vomiting and retching and hacking she doesn't appear to be in pain. We have been to the vet a couple of times for X-rays, blood work, Anti acid medicine, anti vomiting medicine, and new food yet nothing has helped. We don't have pet insurance so this has been much more expensive than anticipated. Does anyone have any recommendations or have you been through something similar? Any help is appreciated! At the moment we're considering a fluoroscopy, a barium series, or a endoscopy.

I should also mention that we feed Millie Fromm puppy food and sometimes Merrick wet food, three times a day because we initially thought maybe she was eating too fast but that isn't the case. She usually throws up about 2-4 hours after eating and the time of day varies.

My vote: Barium to help determine if there is megaesophagus or an injested foreign body.
Let us know how things go!

By the way, when was she last wormed?

Yes you need to consider the health of your dog if you give him a food! Is your dog have a healthy coating?

Cut the wet food and see how it goes. Give smaller meals during the day. For example if you feed once/day, give the daily amount in two separate meals.

    Charlotte,
Thanks for the vote- it's such a tough decision since the tests are so expensive and may not even reveal the issue. I think the barium series is what we're leaning towards but the vet said she did check the X-rays specifically for megaesophogus and didn't see any signs of it (I've read online that it can be missed in normal x-rays though). We're also considering testing a hypoallergenic food first to see if it could be a food allergy and since that would be cheaper to try first. As for the dewormer, I'm not sure the exact date but I know she's been up to date on all of her shots and dewormer so I don't know if that could be it.

    Rosy,
FROMM and Merrick both seem to be good quality from our research and she's been eating them since we got her with no issues until a few months ago so I don't know if it's the food. Her coat looks really good too.

    Berna,
We feed her three meals a day because we thought maybe it was related to her eating too fast but she eats pretty slowly and we never overfeed her so I don't think that's what it is either. Also, she usually vomits a couple hours after eating not immediately.

Thanks everyone for the help! If anyone else has ideas or has dealt with something similar please let me know. I'm going to be talking to our vet later today so hopefully I'll have some positive updates soon!

There is a difference between vomiting and regurgitation...Is My Dog Vomiting or Regurgitating?

I am thinking of rescues and other Labs I have had in our care. Here are some more questions to try to help you figure it out.
Is she getting any chews, such as rawhide, greenies, or hooves?
Also, what flea and tick and/or heartworm preventatives, if any, is she on?
Does she throw up after a certain activity or after a big drink of water?

A couple questions. Does it happen after every meal? Is there undigested food coming up? How are bowel movements? How often are bowel movements? Is there any chance the pup ingested something that could be causing a partial blockage??

Hope you find out what's going on soon. These types of things are always tough, it sure would be nice if they could tell you how they're feeling.
