We go by sight and by touch. Honestly, if you want to get the weight off, put the dog on raw. I am finally seeing a change in Jack. I have my 3 Grace boys on raw and they are really shaping up for the summer.

I could probably post some but that's the problem, he doesn't look fat. He's got some shape from up top versus being tubular, a very mild tuck or rather he doesn't have a "gut"', and he does not have a fat butt. Sometimes when he lays down he looks super fat like a walrus, but I think that's like looking as your thighs when you're seated, you know? Maybe it's more an issue of toning him up. I also decreased his food by 1/2 cup per day and added green beans. It's not out of the question...but I'm not ready to go raw.
