Addie ......good report from the vet

Addie is day 10 post-op from her TTA surgery. Doctor says she is looking good! I am so relieved....only 4 more days of total jail, then partial jail with some physical therapy and a tiny bit of walking.

Addie has been an angel. Luckily she is a calm, mature 8 year old who loves her crate. The worst part is she can hear the pears dropping from the tree onto the patio and she isn't allowed to walk over there. Don't worry, I get her one every day, I am not that mean.

Looking forward to when things are normal again. Thanks for the good thoughts!

The pears made me smile...one of those things that make our dogs special...the sheer happiness they experience.

Continued good thoughts for an uneventful full recovery (Good Dog Addie!).

Glad to hear things are looking good. Our Brooke used to pick her own tomatoes off the plant. She would sniff them and only take the ones that were ripe. She would eat them all day if I didn't stop her. If course she got to have a few a day though, they don't grow year round here in Iowa so had to let her enjoy herself when that time of year was around.

    glad she is recovering nicely!

That's too funny about the pears - she'll get used to the service and expect them to always be hand delivered

    Great news!

At our old house, we had a tree that produced something like plums every few years. Kimber became very possessive about those plums, diligently running off the wild life that came near. Those plums were HERS. Consequently, Kimber packed on a few "plum pounds".

The pears made me smile too. Also the stories from everyone else. Its funny those simple little things in life, especially the seasonal ones they so look forward too. I guess it is like me and pumpkin beer time. Which is now ;-)

Hemi's favorite thing is icicles. The room out by the one side of the deck always gets them in winter. He notices when they first start appearing. So I go over and break him off one and hand it to him. Of course he runs to the door to be let in. We must run into the house and eat an icicle on the living room carpet.
