I have no idea what you're talking about missing the C in China or your letter bottoms, but I wonder if she....I presume you're actually talking about China here?...has a food or environmental allergy. And my top guess would be food.
First let me say I dont know why this appears to be missing the C for China and cutting off the bottom of my letters??
She wakes up at least once a night to scratch. She scratches her sides, dives onto the floor to scratch her hot spots on her head, shakes her head ( ears). I put K9 Advantix on her Sunday night after seeing 1 flea. I am pretty sure this stuff kills them all, so WHAT is itching her?? I've got an appt. to take her in next week and hopefully put am end to the head shaking, but whats itching the rest of her & how do I get rid of the hot spots?? They said she was bitten by flies during the summer & they turned into hot spots...

Poor girl, sounds like she needed a new home. Hard to know what's going on causing the itchiness if she's had fleas, hotspots, possible ear issues, etc. Is she being fed what that so-called breeder was feeding her?
I can see your text normally, also.
Weird-when I was trying to post it was missing the C and cutting off the bottom of the letters LOL
Yes they said they fed 4 Natural or something from Tractor supply-grain free and I got a bag this morning ( just cant remember the name now...)
The treats I give are grain free but there were a few left from Dakotas other bag that were not..I wonder if she has an allergy. ... and that would explain the increase in her head shaking | ear itching.
What about hot spots though-how do you clear them up and does anyone use coconut oil? I have read that helps with skin issues...
My first guess would be food allergy of some sort. Hard one to pin down. Second thought, could she be shedding. Mine were always more itchy at that time.
I treated hot spots with Gold Bond (in the gold bottle). First rinsed the area to loosen all the crusties. Pat dry - no rubbing. Let dry and then apply Gold Bond. Did this once a day with Melody and she cleared up nicely. Remember, no rubbing with the towel and use lukewarm water. Put Melody in the shower and used the hand held shower head. Takes a few minutes of the shower to soften and loosen the crusties. Of course, don't let her scratch the area. Be careful, protect eyes and nose as Gold Bond is quite lofty.

The head shaking/ear scratching....and the hot spots....could be from tinnitus, not necessarily ear itching. My Honey bothered her ears something awful whenever we had to use the ointment we were prescribed for her interdigital cysts. (which never came back after we switched from kibble because of her seizures, by the way) I always thought the ointment caused tinnitus. (certain foods and aspirin exacerbate my tinnitus, so....)
Many Labs are allergic to fleas. We call this flea-bite hypersensitivity. The flea bites the dog, injects the saliva into the dog and the dog has an allergic reaction to the flea. Since it is a true allergic reaction, the reaction is delayed and the fleas might be gone but the reaction continues and eventually develops into a vicious cycle. Topical flea products like the one you use mostly kill the fleas by them ingesting the insecticide and do not keep the flea from feeding on the dog. You have to focus on eliminating your flea population on the dog and in the premise (including the yard if you live in a climate that does not have a cold winter). In the meantime, your vet will give your dog medications to control the reaction while you eliminate the fleas. Good luck.
