Hoping you are at the vet and they can save the pups. Bleeding from the nose is not associated with herpes virus from what I know. Were these pups carried to term?

Prayers they and mom make it. Please update when you can.

Read the links I posted Patty--- it is indeed. I also thought perhaps brucellosis if not carried to term in which case, the health authorities need to be involved.

I think most of us who have our dogs out and about at shows, trials, etc, have already had them exposed to herpes so they have a pretty good immunity already. I would be interested to hear how old this mama dog is and her history of such to put my own mind to rest though... have a litter due in 9 days here myself, so I really feel for this person. Update us, please. Anne

My girls have both been to dog shows and I titered them prior to my breeding last Nov. and both were negative even with all the exposure.

Therefore I kept them home and no visitors 3 weeks prior to birth or 3 weeks after birth.

As do I. I did push it this time though as I did an agility trial 2 weeks ago. I opted to crate my entered dogs out in the car to limit their exposure.

Are you serious?

I am looking for an update too. Herpes virus may hit the pups but it would not effect the mother who is gasping for breath. Tells me something else is going on here.

I pray the OP went to the vet and updates us.

Ditto.

When they are new to the board they have no idea how much we care.
