The weather has been or weird. We've had so little snow this year. Makes me wonder how the farmers are going to do this summer. They rely on the snow pack and spring thaw.
Honestly... last summer I was complaining about how dry everything was and how it was almost impossible to find water to train on. Now we can't find land. There is so much snow in the Sierras, the scientists cannot measure it or estimate how much water is waiting up there to run down into our streams and reservoirs. We've had snow storm followed by melt off followed by more storms. Everywhere we're accustomed to train, it's solid mud. Lake Lahonton is the source of water for our Harman Reservoir where we run our Hunt Tests and Field Trials. Not only are Lahonton and Harman full.. there is enough snow above it that Lahonton could fill again three times over. Lake Tahoe is at the rim. The nearby ski area has over 600 inches of base.
We had another storm last night and this morning. Woke up to about 7 inches, cold and incredibly windy. Normally Sunday morning means getting up and getting to church to robe up and sing for the service. And we did!!! There weren't many folks in the congregation for the early service, but we made it.
The few. The brave. THE CHOIR!!!!
We prayed for water for the last 5 years. Now we need to ask the Good Lord to spare us any more blessings!!!
