Yesterday was our first hot day. M was fine but I wasn't. After setting up and throwing for 7 dogs I was cramping and sweating, stomach was upset. I can't take the heat. Anything over 25c (80F) and I don't go out. Rested in the shade awhile and then ran a couple of water blinds. We are supposed to get thunder storms tonight and have cooler weather for the weekend. Hope so as we are headed for a trial.

Anna!!! My nephew is a High School football coach (went to the AAAAAAA state championship, y'all) in Atlanta GA. There are always a couple of kids on the team who are prone to cramps. He has them drink a bunch of half-strength gator aid prior to the game, and keeps them hydrated with gator aid and lots of water throughout the game. He has reduced cramps to almost zip.

Don't push. If you're getting light-headed ("fainty-fied" as they say down South) stop! Get in the shade. Drink.

    Take care!

Last few days have been well over 80 which is quite warm for us this time of year. Archie was not interested in staying outside at all. Filled up his little pool and he has been using it all day. This evening a cool front is coming through. Between 5 or so to 7:30 temp has dropped at least 15 and probably 20 degrees. Supposed to be high 40s in the morning. Crazy weather.

You are right TuMicks I have a really bad habit of not hydrating. Dogs always have lots of water but I don't. Maybe this is final warning I needed cause I bought Gatoraid for the weekend. From now on there will be a cooler with me.
