    Hrc

Finally was cool enough to get out and train today. We had a mixed group of experienced dogs and young ones. The set up was not too long so I thought I would run M with the shot gun. One of the fellows is getting ready for an HRC test. Boy did she love it. I have not run HRC for a few years and had almost forgotten how much fun it was. We don't have many clubs left here in Canada but there is a local HRC test the beginning of Sept. I just might throw M in for a lark. I use my own 20guage as I find it lighter and easier to handle. The guys always get a kick out of it as it is camo pink.
We ran some much tougher blinds just to keep her in shape for the up coming field trials.

There are no HRC clubs around here. It does look fun.

I got started training labs with the HRC club in our area. My first dog got to the HR level but she was just too independent when it came to running blinds. She loved to hunt. I put an HRCH on her son and grand daughter and on my Chant. Running these tests can be really challenging especially with all the duck calls and handling the gun on the line. I just hope M can hold it together.
