Congratulations on the third leg. Here in Canada that would be your title. I love to watch a happy dog run. I was watching M and saw this thing disturbing the water behind her as she was swimming then I realized it was her tail wagging as she was coming in.

    Congratulations!!

I’ve been working on making the return on gloves and article more rewarding for Chloe too, and for the most part it’s working, but she was a bit slow to return with the glove this weekend because there was a table with the lunch for the judges/workers right outside the glove 3 corner and a friend of mine that she knows happened to be standing there. She hesitated a second at the sight of her friend next to a pile of lunch meat, but made the correct decision that she wasn’t going to get any, LOL. Still, though, in Utility B that hesitation will get scored.

He's such a cool dude.

Where do you plan to title? (Because you will. 100%)
Well, I think that conformation people nearly always say, "that's a lot of dog!" to field dog people and field dog people say, "that's a big boy you got there!" and I don't think anyone means anything by it. It's just a thing.

He's a pretty serious worker, isn't he? He has always been that way. Plus he is busy, busy, busy...always needing a job. I've had to work really hard on getting him to lighten up a little for obedience!

I'm not sure where I'll (hopefully) title yet. I missed the closing date for the next Portland event, so I might head up to Washington. I want to get it done soon so I can focus on getting ready for and going on my trip. The hunt test season will be over by the time I get back.

Had to laugh. I watched a guy at the Senior somewhere in CA (can't remember) and a dog had just done a great job on the water double and blind. He had handed the last duck to the judge and was heeling his dog to where he was supposed to honor... and the dog snagged the judges lunch from under his chair and went. to. town. trying to scarf it down while his handler was grabbing the bag and yelling NO NO BAD DOG DROP DROP. He didn't touch the dog, so they didn't DQ him. But they probably should have severely marked him down for trainability.

But... at the end of the day, dogs are dogs. It was middle of the day and that dog had probably been fed 6 or 7 hours previously.

Handler's have to be aware of where the food hazards are!!!
